Monica L. Strickland, Esq., is a former Texas prosecutor with exceptional trial experience. Ms. Strickland received her B.S. degree from the University of Tampa, in 1993, and her law degree in 1996 from the University of Miami School of Law, where she served as an officer of the Moot Court Board. As an Assistant District Attorney, County Attorney, and City Attorney, Ms. Strickland gained significant civil litigation and criminal prosecution experience. As an Assistant District Attorney, Ms. Strickland concentrated primarily on drug cases. Ms. Strickland also gained considerable contract negotiation and drafting experience while working for Compaq Computer Corporation.
Since relocating to Florida and entering private practice in 2005, Ms. Strickland focuses her practice in criminal law, family law, and civil litigation. Ms. Strickland is licensed in the states of Florida and Texas. Ms. Strickland is also licensed and admitted to practice before the following federal courts: Northern District of Texas; Western District of Texas; Southern District of Texas; Middle District of Florida, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
